Our Mission

At The Good Life Homeschool Center, we provide faith-centered enrichment that helps families navigate their homeschool journey with confidence, connection, and purpose. Through hands-on, real-world learning experiences and a Christ-led community, we partner with parents to support each student’s unique path—encouraging growth in character, curiosity, and calling.
Together, we’re creating a place where families don’t just homeschool—they live the good life.

Behavioral Policy

At The Good Life Homeschool Center, we aim to create a Christ-centered, peaceful learning space where students feel respected, engaged, and supported. As a two-day-a-week enrichment program, we serve as co-teachers in partnership with you—the parent—as the primary educator. We’re here to walk alongside you and help your child thrive.

Our Approach

We draw inspiration from the Conscious Discipline model, using tools that promote emotional growth, gentle guidance, and strong relationships. Our goal is not just academic progress, but character development rooted in grace, patience, and collaboration.

Student Expectations

We ask all students to:

  • Be respectful to teachers, peers, and shared spaces

  • Follow directions and participate in learning activities

  • Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves

  • Use kind, appropriate language

  • Avoid behavior that distracts others from learning

  • Bring a mindset of curiosity, community, and care

Technology

We prioritize low-tech, hands-on learning.

  • Cell phones and personal devices are not permitted.

  • Staff members will have phones available to contact parents when necessary.

Behavior Disruptions

If a child’s behavior consistently interrupts the learning experience:

  • A parent may be asked to remain with their child during class for a duration decided by our teaching team

  • Continued disruptive behavior may lead to dismissal from the program

  • These decisions are made thoughtfully, in the best interest of all students and staff

Student & Parent Expectations

For Parents: Partnering Together

We ask every parent to join us in building a Christ-centered learning environment through:

1. Teamwork & Open Communication

  • Stay connected with teachers about both academic and behavioral matters

  • Let us know if your child needs extra support or is going through a tough season

  • Work with us to create a consistent and encouraging space for growth

2. Volunteer Opportunities

  • Participate in service projects, class celebrations, and community events

  • Help support holiday parties, themed events, dances, and special gatherings

  • Sign up as a substitute or classroom helper (background checks are required for all adults working directly with students)

3. Health & Safety

  • Keep your child home if they are sick—fever, persistent cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms of illness. – Children must be vomit- and diarrhea-free for 24 hours, and fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning. – Inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or health concerns that may impact your child’s safety and participation.

4. Behavioral & Learning Support

  • If your child has a learning disability, IEP, or requires specific accommodations, please share that with our Director so we can partner with you effectively

  • Help us maintain a respectful environment by supporting our behavior guidelines and working with our team when concerns arise

For Students: Learning with Joy & Integrity

We want every student at The Good Life Homeschool Center to feel welcomed, engaged, and excited to learn.

We ask students to:

1. Participate with Purpose

  • Try your best, contribute to group activities, and stay curious

  • Ask questions, share ideas, and be a positive part of our learning community

2. Be Respectful & Responsible

  • Treat teachers, classmates, and spaces with kindness and care

  • Listen to instructions and help keep the space peaceful and focused

3. Honor Our Learning Environment

  • No personal technology or cell phones—we focus on hands-on, real-world learning

  • Come ready to explore, create, and learn with your whole heart

4. Be a Light in the Community

  • Encourage others, practice patience, and show compassion

  • Own your choices and grow from mistakes—we’re all learning together
